Charlie is feeling alone at the moment as his grandparents ignore him and his parents are always traveling. However, this summer he finds himself in Castle-On-The-Hudson (an ASL community) and realizes words are always felt within the heart.

Evaluation

Though this book did not receive the highest ratings elsewhere, I thought it was an extremely fast-paced read with excellent vocabulary, suspense and character development. I loved how the author incorporate Deaf Culture throughout this entire book. In general, this topic is quite taboo for a middle-aged novel. I think students as early as third grade could easily come to appreciate such a well written book. I was on the edge of my seat.
