This particular book is about a student who learns how to check his biases at the door, admits his mistakes and realizes what he needs to do to become an anti-racist human.

Evaluation

I thought this book was stellar. You can use this as a tool for discussing empathy but I think it is equally as beautiful to use as a beginning force regarding stereotypes and checking biases/ constantly beocming self aware of the mistakes we make daily when judging cultures ethnicities and races without even realizing we are doing so.
