This concept book is related to colors and feelings. It is an excellent book for elementary children because it not only states the feeling, but uses colors and animals to illustrate emotions which can sometimes be an abstract concept to understand.

Evaluation

I used this book during one of my lessons to teach the importance of colors and emotions. Not only did I have the students give me examples of the feelings that were listed in the book, but I printed out large pictures of my own face making various facial expressions and colored them a specific color (red for angry and yellow for happy and blue for sad.) This is one of the only books around that discusses two concepts together, and I think it is truly beneficial from a teacher's standpoint, but also the child's standpoint. Anytime an abstract concept can be made concrete, it makes for a great introductory lesson and prevents confusion.
