3 miles: Last night, my husband fell asleep before myself as I was still on the couch finishing up a few items. All of a sudden I heard a "wait" and then "make sure you stich that together nicely" and "finish the flap." For those of you who know my husband, he is in his residency. However, what is even more beautiful about him is he rarely ever talks about the stress of his job but it certainly is there. It's there because I can see it in his silent eyes when he comes home and tonight-literally through his dreams. We all, as beautiful humans have different ways of coping with our stress. For me, my ultimate duty has always been to somehow sneak the stress out of another. I can always tell when things are bottled up or someone has something on their mind or are distracted by an unfinished thought. But for whatever reason, I am quite horrible at this with my husband. And I think sometimes it is because he hides it so well underneath those smiling eyes. And I think sometimes it is because maybe I'm so caught up in the whirlwhind of myself that I fail to recognize the stress in him. I suppose always a word of advice that dreams do in fact reveal a lot. In fact, it may be a wake up call to really start paying attention to those around you. And while maybe you are talking about a story or something you think is important-it may be more important to stop and ask: "So how are you actually feeling?" Because chances are, you may be missing something important.
