An excellent history of Native American Tribes both past and PRESENT. It's so important for our students to understand that Native Americans are not a people of the past but a people of the past, present and future.
Evaluation
I adored this book. I think it's a bit heavy for younger kids but if broken up into multiple days some really excellent discussion could come out of it. This book presents a perspective and truths that have time and time again been erased from our history. I'm so looking forward to reading this during our many week long Native American truths unit.
