This is a book told from the First People's perspective as well as the corn's perspective. It is truthful in terms of what the First Settlers did that was wrong (including stealing of land, goods and food.) In addition, it touches upon the fact that many First Peoples consider this to be a day of Mourning because they were wronged countless times throughout history.
Evaluation
A beautiful book told from the First People's perspective. A voice that is constantly missing among "Thanksgiving" books in children's literature and a must read.
