This book reveals countless lived experiences of Black girls across America. It reveals the constant misunderstanding between administrators, teachers and counselors alike. This should be a mandatory read for all teachers.

Evaluation

This is a raw, honest, truthful and poignant account of black girls who have been constantly victimized due to the systemic inequities within our schools and juvenile detention centers. This is truly a book for anyone who cares at all about children. A must read. It requires note-taking, thoughtful reflection and then points for action.
