The Sister's Grimm, appropriate for upper-elementary school students is a wonderful series about two girls who become orphans and eventually find themselves living in a world of fairy tales with their Grandma Grimm. Later, they discover that they are part of a long history of Grimms who wrote the original Grimm Fairytales. Throughout the remainder of the novel, the girls find themselves battling magic and the wrath of many of the other storybook members living in the area.

Evaluation

Though this is my first time reading a book belonging to The Sisters Grimm series, I found the book extremely appropriate for fourth and fifth grade students as well as adventurous, exciting and suspensful. Not only is the author humorous, but he manages to introduce a large number of characters with surprising ease. This book would be an excellent book to use to teach the practice of making predictions or writing reader responses or reactions. All of the characters are dynamic adding futher suspense to the novel.
