3 miles: Well, we made it! A beautiful day in the classroom neighborhood it was. Certainly a bit sore and a bit tired afterwards, but tis Friday Eve and thus anything is possible. As I took on my miles tonight, I just kept thinking back to the difficulty of intentional footprints and that for all of us trying to create intentional footprints everyday...it really is hard! As of late, I thought back to just how many emails I have made trying to tie my footprints with someone else's footprints only to realize that we needed to reschedule time or perhaps that person was too busy. All this to say, sometimes it feels like we are simply chasing what seems to be the impossible connection. It's as if we are quite literally chasing our own footprints.

However, today was a reminder that no step taken is ever truly ignored and even if connection takes longer, the continuation of trying to create a new footprint is supposed to be hard. Because nothing good ever comes without hard work. And often times the footprints we want to imprint take a long time to do so. Footprints require careful stepping and patience and more patience. For that indentation into life's sandy shores takes time and sometimes the waves wash away our intentional footprints before we even have the chance to gaze back at what they looked like. Footprints never stick quickly and only with time and true spirit and making connections does that sand begin to stick. So don't give up if you feel like your footprints aren't making their proper print. Because in time they will. And if your vision is clear-you will see those footprints shine through.
