4miles: This was a bit of a hectic week and thus writing was slightly limited, and I think this is okay. It was a good week. Strange in the sense that the week went by quickly but the hours in the evening seemed longer and allowed time for much needed reflection and thinking. I had multiple raw conversations with close friends and colleagues this week. And I noticed a lot of the talking was centered around looking underneath the life that has been created, the actions that have passed by and the behaviors that have occurred and the decisions and why certain decisions were made. I think what I realize when talking with people about how they are personally or their story up until "this point" I notice that it evokes a kind of courage and openess needed to think about what lies underneath those footprints that have been stamped into the world, into one's soul and personality and very being. When we ask ourselves "why" those answers are sometimes difficult to hear, difficult to bear and difficult to hold closely. But embracing all parts of the underneath (the good and the bad) help to discover our lives with greater clarity and hopefully drive us to change ourselves or change our purpose or maybe listen to our purpose with clearer ears than before. We learn from the layers of underneath and we learn from paying attention to the underneath of others because the deepness of a soul is never found directly on the surface. Strive to find the underneath layers and you will realize the more open you are to seeing, the more open those underlying layers are..to meet you.
