Dearest Luna Mae, 

We are late to the game on this one, but Happy Nine Months! Nine months may have been one of those most growing months of all the months. There have been so many new developments. You started crawling this month and you absolutely love being able to get around now and pick up new crumbs whenever you feel like it. We definitely developed some serious stranger danger this month, but once you are around new people for a little bit, you are just fine. You are a very curious and insightful little nugget, and you like to study everyone's face and expression and the world around you. You still love nature and have enjoyed a good two hour long walk this month and sometimes more depending on where we go! You love visiting the park and seeing and talking to all the kids, and you definitely enjoy swinging high into the sky! Everything about nature makes your face glow and so we try to spend as much time outside as we possibly can. 

You still continue to be the world's greatest eater. You will consume anything and everything, and you eat your food just like Baba (you actually inhale it.) We have tried almost every food under the sun at this point, and we enjoy watching you pick your cousins peas off of his tray too. :)

Language is coming along although we aren't saying words yet but you do know hello and goodbye with a wave, mama, baba and you certainly can point to objects that we name within a room. You just recently learned how to say "egg." This may be considered your very first word! You have been putting a lot more sounds together and the "g" sound and the "c" sound have been two new sounds as of late rather than just baba or mama or lala. You also still really enjoy listening intently to conversation as well and when you aren't part of the conversation, you simply start talking loudly so others around will hear you!

You have begun to interact more with your cousin Gio which has been so fun to see, and he enjoys pushing you around on your little cruiser which you also love because it makes you feel free just as if you were walking on your own! Your personality is coming out more and more and you are ONE SPUNKY SOUL. You have also developed a lot of opinions this month and through pointing and guiding us to where you want to go-it is very evident that when you are on a mission, absolutely no one is going to stop you (you probably get that from both me and Baba so we are sorry about that.) However, the world always needs a little more spunk! It makes life more whimsical. 

This upcoming month we look forward to Saint Patrick's Day and Easter, slowly moving the rest of the stuff out of our apartment and many more transitions to come! Hard to believe that your first birthday is only a little bit away! 

What an incredible year it has been watching a tiny human grow into her own. A very magical metamorphosis indeed!
