This picture book was excellent. So many teachers constantly teach about "turkeys" for Thanksgiving and the reality is, there are many students who do not have turkey on Thanksgiving. Understanding what Thanksgiving means to different cutlures while also honoring the true meaning behind Thanksgiving are two topics that must be discussed in our early grades.
