Dear Parents,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Just a reminder that you should be checking your child’s homework every night. Homework logs should be signed daily by a parent (including Fridays!) Students should be practicing their multiplication facts every night! Once they pass their multiplication timed test (2 minutes) they will move on to the next set of multiplication facts. At least 10 minutes should be devoted to facts each night! In addition, students should be practicing their spelling words every night! Studying small chunks every night will make the studying more manageable!

The next five or six weeks will be incredibly intensive as we are beginning to review for the PSSA’s that are approaching in April. That being said, it is important to keep in mind that one standardized test is truly only a small measure of what our students are capable of achieving. We will continue to explore Social Studies, Writing, English Language Arts and grammar in a a creative fashion while also reviewing the information that we have learned.
