Evaluation

A truly needed picture book about body image and how this contributes to self esteem at such a young age. The protagonist of this story constantly deals with this idea that she is too big for the ballet stage-until her perception is changed, and she sees a dancer just like herself. A must read for all girls and an early read to this idea of adultification and the damaging nature of such thoughts.
