This may seem like a simplistic book but simple is sometimes where we need to start. For the amount of years people have been "ignoring race" and pretending they do not see "color" this is a great place to start for our youngest learners.
Evaluation
I truly enjoyed reading the book. The illustrations are beautiful. Somtimes, less words and more illustration are what is needed to begin to talk about "race" within the classroom. A great starting place for many.
