Dearest Luna,
We have all been so busy watching you grow, that we have not documented the beauty of you in a while! Our little girl turned three just a few weeks ago! How did that happen? You are just the most whimsical and spirited little fairy of a girl. We are SO proud of everything you conquered this year and everything you will continue to conquer as you continue to grow into a bigger fairy butterfly!
We worked all year on managing our emotions and "using our words," sharing and being thankful for what we have! You have done such a marvelous job with all of these lessons. You are so articulate now that you simply tell us "Oh I'm feeling frustrated because..." and it's followed by another complex sentence. Words are definitely one of your gifts and so is your sense of humor and excitement about just about everything. Grocery store? Love it. Music time? Love it. Library? Love it. Playing with friends? Love it. School? Extra Extra Love.
School has been such a huge accomplishment for you this year. Leaving my side is something tricky, but you handled the school transition with such happy zest and sparkle! You always get beaming reports from your teacher, and you certainly give us the "low down" on just about everything that happens within the classroom. We never have to worry about your honesty because you are as honest as they come!
Luna-you are such a nurturing and helpful soul. You love helping do the dishes, cooking dinner and giving your little brother all the love and the toys. You have a sincere care and empathetic heart for others, and you always want to know why someone is feeling sadness so that you can help. "Are you happy Mama?" or "Are you sad Mama?" are ways you check in to feel the feelings of others.
Luna-you are such a keen observer of the world, and you always have been. We can see you carefully looking at everything, and you want to execute everything with precision. You love tiny little trinkets because of every tiny little detail. The details, for you, matter more than the whole. Such an admirable trait! However, we have all done a great job of not using the word "perfect" and acknowledging that mistakes happen and saying "sorry how can I help" is such a powerful phrase to move the world in the right direction.
You are still a girl of schedule and high expectations. We have a checklist for you of daily tasks, and you ALWAYS refer to the checklist and get that checklist done. You practiced counting to twenty over and over and you know all of your letters (and some sounds) at this point. You tell me you want to read, and I have no doubts that you do. You are determined. You are spirited. And something tells me-you are never going to be one to back down from a challenge.
We love you and baby Luca is so lucky to have the best role model as his sister. You are fearless. Kind. Passionate. Creative and just the biggest doll baby.
May your next year around the sun be even MORE whimsical. What will our fairy do next?
With admiration and the most love-
Mama, Baba & Baby Luca
