Dear Parents,

    I hope everyone has had a relaxing weekend! We had another fabulous week in our third grade classroom.

    Just a reminder that agenda books should be signed every night! In addition, please make sure your child is practicing their spelling words and math facts! Currently, everyone has started learning their multiplication facts. I am trying a new multiplication program this year known as Otter-box. This particular program slowly scaffolds the multiplication skills so that students are constantly being tested on the facts they already know. Students are to practice saying their facts out loud. This way, they are hearing, seeing and writing their facts to allow for quicker mastery. I am working on placing flashcards on my website so that students can practice their facts depending on what level they are on in the classroom!

    Our first field trip was a success! The students had a great time and asked many thought-provoking questions along the way! It is hard to believe that this is our final week before Open House next week! Time surely flies by!
