Snapshot One: We stopped in the quaint village of Ludow. An older man played flute on the cobblestone road. We passed by a meat shop selling pidgeon and pig pastries and traveled towards the creek surrounded by small cottages and colorful flower boxes. We enjoyed a Welsh cake for the first time- a delicious treat that tasted like a soft biscuit. It was more buttery than sweet and quite tasty.
Snapshot Two: landed in Chester. A town with many shops. A man was playing an electric guitar. We visited a cathedral, walked the shops and the city walk surrounding the city.
Snapshot Three: Landed in Liverpool and I was reminded of these beautiful lyrics:
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
If anything, this trip affirms the truth behind these lyrics. As I say goodnight to Liverpool, I'm hoping others remember this message too.
