Due to a Jewish Holiday, we had school off today. And so it happened today where I was going to a doctor's appointment which already took at least six tries to schedule and realize on the way that something just isn't quite right. I had written in my calendar an appointment for 9:00 at one place. However, halfway through, I decided I better pull over and double check. Sometimes we have this unexplained feeling inside that leads you to believe..well you messed up.
Indeed I did as the individual on the other end of the line proceeded to tell me that my appointment was made in a different location and there truly was no way I was going to make it. And it may seem silly, but this was probably the first time I actually had not attended an appointment on time with the correct date. I let myself wallow in self-pity for about an hour and then decided it was time to snap out of it.
Sometimes we cannot always be on time. Sometimes we miss. Sometimes it is our fault or due to a miscommunication but regardless...life goes on and we realize if this was the only problem we had in life-we would be truly lucky.
Though I did not attend the appointment, I still was able to go on a run during my day off, travel to the library and take another small nap. And you know...maybe this is exactly what the doctor ordered for today. Let the leaves fall around you as they must.
