Every once and a while, you forget to check the weather channel and find yourself in a very laughter-filled but also rain-filled situation. Every once and a while you stand back and realize just the unbelievable odds that a small microburst would be hitting at that very moment in that specific spot and that particular time. As I was waiting outside for dinner, I suddenly noticed a dark rain cloud looming overhead, suddenly that raincload became a sprinkler which then turned into buckets of sideways rain. And you know you are in a good space when the people surrounding you aren't the least bit concerned about the rain or their food becoming soggy. Conversations are had as humans we connect...

If you haven't already experienced this feeling once, you should try every so often to step inside someone else's shoes and actually visit their working space. Because if we are honest with ourselves, our friends tell us about their trials and errors at work and so on, but how many of us have actually visited their world? My husband and myself have completely opposite career paths as I am a teacher in a pretty colorful and vibrant atmosphere and he spends almost all of his time at the hospitals. Look at a space inhabited by an individual and you will find that space is reminiscent of who that person is on the inside and the outside. The beauty about an inhabited space is it tells the hidden story of countless individuals. I think one of the greatest gifts we can offer ourselves, are the gift of life extensions. Extensions in the sense that we create more time for something good. Like that vacation? Extend it a few days with a new trip. That Wedding? Extend your family time with a day extra of something special. Extensions are always critical and conscious realizations that we need to make more time for the good in the world and despite the fact that we complain "time is out of our control," well-all great extensions are proof that time is very much within our control-if we wish it to be.  The beauty of a wedding is always astounding. However, the aftermath is always a bit of a let down. Not in the sense that...

Well today was the day we woke up and ate breakfast with Grandpa and Grandma and said farewell as the majority of our family members headed back to their homes. It's always amazing to me just how quickly beautiful beautiful moments come to an end.  My uncle just recently posted a picture, and it certainly made me tear up as I thought about how possible the impossible became as this wedding drew nearer at the end of the summer. About one year ago and five months, I was married and I remember thinking on my wedding day-I'm so happy Grandma and Grandpa were abe to make it. But I never thought they would be present for my brother's wedding until he became engaged about a few months after I was...
