Dear Families,
I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather outside! Overall, we have been working on remembering our homework, staying organized and practicing “quiet transitions” when moving about the classroom. We received many good reports from our special area teachers this week! In addition, students did a truly superb job on their first math test! I was truly impressed! Many of us worked really hard to label our answers and to work carefully!
As a reminder, students will always have math homework (usually in their green book) every day. In addition, they will always be assigned something in reading whether it is reading a book, practicing vocabulary, practicing grammar or re-reading a trade book to prepare for the next day! The homework for the week will be listed on my website later today!
Also, as we continue through this quarter, students will be asked to start bringing home their “fact books” to practice their multiplication facts. I have multiple links on my website as well where students can practice flashcards online! The more practice, the better! You can access these links by clicking on "Third Grade" at the top of my website and then clicking "links."
Lastly, due to the fact that it is the end of the month, you will be receiving a progress report/update about how your student is doing so far in third grade (socially, academically and behaviorally!)
Thank you, as always, for all of your support.
Warmly,
Miss Amoscato
