A beautiful book about a boy who is trying to come to terms with the fact that he is not "perfect."
Evaluation
I found this realistic fiction book to be so incredibly refreshing. I had a talk with my students countless times last year about how it's not about being "the" best, but being your "own personal best." Everyone has something unique and beautiful to offer this world and that is what we should be focusing on instead of how "pretty" or "smart" or "popular" we are. What matters is that you learn to recognize your own self-worth. This is beautiful book about acceptance, kindness and growing in maturity and perspective.
