Home is a brilliant read for students of all ages. Written by an author who was homeless at one point during her childhood, this book offers a new take on what homelessness means and inspires a movement that focuses on the dignity and love of the family and child.
Evaluation
This book was one of the best I have read in regards to children without homes. I learned so much reading the back cover about the author and realized how this sensitive topic is often brushed over in children's books. This idea of nowhere, somewhere and anywhere is such an interesting way of thinking about temporary housing. Truly brilliant in every way and perfect for K-5 classrooms.
