Dear Families,

Good Evening! We certainly had quite the week last week. I am hoping that our weather is a bit more pleasant and cooperative this week! Friday was quite a day. Students continue to do a beautiful job within the classroom. Please be on the lookout for a letter sent Wednesday of this week regarding Valentine’s Day “mailboxes” as well as Valentines! It is hard to believe we are already approaching Valentine’s Day. Time surely flies. Below is an updated link to the spelling words for this week! In addition, starting next week, students will have the opportunity to choose one book celebrating the life of a prolific African American to read and complete a journal entry on (due Friday of each week.) This week we kick off Black History Month through the reading of Harriet Tubman in our Time for Kid’s selection as well as a poetry reading every Friday from an African American poet. More information regarding the journal entry will be sent home at the end of this week! Thank you, as always for your kindness and support.
