Most days there is a lot to blog about, but for whatever reason, I am without words for today. This is not to say today was a bad day just a different day. We began at the battle of Culloden. This war was the final major fight to take place in Scotland.  We completed much drive today and this is what I discovered ... 1. Scotland is an introspective place 2. Scotland is quite green  3. If you want to partake in a sheep party, this is your place! 4. Did I mention Scotland is green! 5. Nessie the monster is not real.. 6. I can totally sleep through Scottish music  7. There are many castles in Scotland!

Today it felt we were exploring the forbidden forest of Hogarts castle. Greenery surrounded you from all angles and the trees were quite beautiful and quite large.  Apparently some of the dementor scenes from Harry Potter were shot in the Highlands of Scotland which is where we adventured today. Just for memory purposes we traveled through Glascow, Glencoe, Fort Williams and the Scottish Highlands. An unusual way of life is what stood out to me today. We visited a man who had been Shepard for 16 years. He took over his fathers business and so we got to see how he trains each of his dogs, how they round the sheep and respond to commands. It was very clear that herding sheep was something...

Today we traveled to Wordsworth hometown of Grasmere where he and other romantic poets got their inspiration. A very famous gingerbread house lay in that town known for its brilliant gingerbread. The smell of gingerbread wafted through the woods and cottages. It was almost like a fairy tale. We then landed in the city of Glascow- it is a larger city. We walked through George Square, passed music and murals greatly enjoying the scenery. Tomorrow we are off to the Highlands and I imagine it will be full of open fields, greenery and a calming silence. Here is a lovely poem to end the night. As Wordsworth conveyed through his writing, there is a lot of rushing that goes on these days. The...

Snapshot One: We stopped in the quaint village of Ludow. An older man played flute on the cobblestone road. We passed by a meat shop selling pidgeon and pig pastries and traveled towards the creek surrounded by small cottages and colorful flower boxes. We enjoyed a Welsh cake for the first time- a delicious treat that tasted like a soft biscuit. It was more buttery than sweet and quite tasty.  Snapshot Two: landed in Chester. A town with many shops. A man was playing an electric guitar. We visited a cathedral, walked the shops and the city walk surrounding the city. Snapshot Three: Landed in Liverpool and I was reminded of these beautiful lyrics: Imagine there's no HeavenIt's easy if you...

Today we first visited Glastonbury Abbey. It was quite interestingly a "hippy town." This is home to the Glastonbury music festival which houses some of the biggest names in rock. People backpack for miles to catch the music! The shops around Glastonbury were quite new-age type shops. Witchery was in one, fortune-telling in another and incense was burning from every small shop. It was as if you were stepping back into some secret garden. The Glastonbury Abbey or rather the remains of it were worth seeing surrounded by fields of green pastures. The inside was equally as impressive. Later, we traveled to Blackmore farm. This farm was quite impressive and it was evident that the family had a...
