Day 4 we began this lovely sunny morning at 5:00 for a 45 minute run around the city of Exeter. It was quite peaceful as many people had been partying hard the night before. We ran through many streets, over the bridge and passed multiple churches.
Later that morning we departed Exeter and enjoyed a river tour in Plymouth where the Mayflower first departed from! We passed many navy ships as well as a visiting USA cable ship-the only one of its kind. The day was spilling sunshine, so it was quite nice to be on the water.
We then drove to a quaint town with painted houses and cobblestone roads. This place was known as pulperro Cornwall. There were small ice cream shops along the way and also...

The greatest adventure is one without a map.
Today was such an artistic adventure. We departed London and headed to Stonehenge. The rock formations were quite interesting. It was amazing that such a rock formation was built without stone tools. Interestingly, no one really knows why Stonehenge was built. It was said that the people probably originated from Scotland or near that area. In addition, they were most likely very well traveled. It could have been built for sacrifice purposes although radio carbon dating has shown that the people who built it probably were not Druids.
We also happened to visit the city of Bath. Now, this is a very commercialized area with shops and still the...

Go out and make things happen
Day 2 crisp morning but beautiful. Sun is glimmering across the lake from the window of the coach bus commencing the start of our morning tour. We passed the House of Parliament. We saw the green awning of the house of lords and the red awning of other seats of parliament. We also passed the mi six headquarters of central security as well as the building of internal security in building mi5. Horses were being exercised that take part in various ceremonies.
We stopped at Westminster abbey as well as saint Margaret's church which is where many members of the parliament are married. We saw the London eye with 32 cars standing for the 32 districts of London. We...

I realized quite early on that adventures are the best way to learn. Today was inevitably a learning curve as we set forth around the city of London. Multiple mistakes were to be had such as getting stuck between an automated subway door, separated from the parents and realizing you cannot place your subway ticket next to your phone or it will deactivate. See, many would assume that the day was terrible, that we halted all fun. But in reality we embraced the fact that exploration is about making mistakes. We made it to platform 9 and 3/4 near King's Crossing. In addition, we visited the Harry Potter shop, the British library and the inside of a rather fancy hotel. The library was...

Simple, simple distraction can take our minds away from pain and into a safe place with a little laughter. One of the patients I visited most recently was very evidently in pain. However, she had a killer sense of humor, a love of Minions and Scooby Doo. We watched Scooby Movies, she offered some scooby snacks, we drew in her sketchbook, talked about shopkins and Minions and just like that two excellent hours of fun had passed by in a blink.
Sometimes, simple, silly distractions are what we need the most. They give our brain time to remain calm and regain a sense of peace and comfort that may have been tarnished by a past accident or moment that we wish to forget.
Simplicities can be just...
